Article 1. Purpose

These terms set out the conditions for using GIOOT (the “Service”), including its map-based local news, discovery of events, pop-ups, sights and on-site information, and participation features, as well as the rights and obligations of users and the operator.

The Service operator is 비엔비에셋 / 김복기. Service inquiries are accepted at bnbasset83@gmail.com.

Article 2. Accounts and Registration

Users may register by authenticating with a Kakao, Google or Apple account and choosing a unique @username. You must not use another person’s account or register a username that impersonates someone else.

The operator may restrict registration or use to keep the Service safe. Users may log out or request account deletion at any time through the procedures provided.

Registration and member features are available to residents of South Korea aged 14 or older and residents of other countries aged 13 or older. If the law of your country of residence requires a higher minimum age or additional consent, you must meet that requirement. Users below the applicable minimum may not register; the Service does not offer a parental-consent registration process for them.

Store content ratings are separate from the minimum registration age. The Service does not verify age using identity documents or dates of birth. If a user is found to be below the minimum registration age, the account may be restricted and applicable deletion procedures followed.

Article 3. Service Features

The Service displays public posts and publicly available external information on a map based on your current location or a selected area. Locations, schedules, crowd levels and on-site conditions may change after publication, so you should also check official information before visiting.

The operator may change or temporarily suspend all or part of the features for quality improvements, maintenance, policy reasons or technical needs.

Article 4. User Content

Users must post accurate information and photos they took themselves or are legally entitled to use. Information that may infringe others’ privacy, such as faces, vehicle registration numbers and addresses, should be obscured as necessary or not posted.

  • False information or information encouraging illegal or dangerous conduct
  • Advertising spam, repetitive posting or interference with Service operations
  • Content that infringes others’ rights, including copyright, image rights and personal information rights
  • Hateful, violent, sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate content for young people
  • Profanity, harassment, threats, disclosure of personal information or sexual approaches to other users
  • Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), sharing related images, videos or links, sexual solicitation or grooming, and exploitation or requests to meet directed at children or young people

Article 5. Location Information and Safety

The Service uses location information within the scope you allow when providing nearby information or registering on-site posts. Public screens may show less precise locations under the operating policy. The Service does not provide continuous tracking of users’ travel routes as a default feature.

You must not rely solely on Service information for emergency, safety, medical, transportation or legal decisions.

Article 6. Reports and Moderation

The operator reviews user reports and regularly monitors for policy violations, and may temporarily hide, expire or delete posts or restrict accounts. AI-based image or text inspection is not currently used.

Users can report posts and comments and block their authors. Blocking is a personal setting that reduces the visibility of that user’s content and does not replace a report to the operator. Child and youth safety concerns, privacy infringements and appeals concerning reports can be sent to bnbasset83@gmail.com. Do not attach or redistribute illegal images when reporting.

The operator prioritizes reports of child sexual abuse and exploitation, removes confirmed violating content and restricts accounts as needed, and reports to or cooperates with law enforcement and relevant authorities as required by applicable law. In an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for the Service to respond.

Article 7. Rights and Responsibilities

Users retain the rights to the content they create. Users grant the Service a non-exclusive license to store and convert that content, generate thumbnails, and display it on maps and share pages to the extent needed to provide the Service.

Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or continued availability of content created by users or external information providers.

Article 8. Changes to the Terms and Inquiries

When these terms change, the effective date and main changes will be announced in advance through the Service. Material changes unfavorable to users will be communicated separately with a reasonable notice period.

Service inquiries, appeals against moderation actions and requests concerning infringements of rights may be submitted to 비엔비에셋 / 김복기 at bnbasset83@gmail.com. The operator will verify your identity and the facts, then notify you of the outcome.

Article 9. Account Deletion and Content Removal

Users may delete their account through My settings → Delete account in the app or at https://gioot.live/account/delete?lang=en after verifying their identity with the social account used to register. You do not need to reinstall the app when using the web. If you cannot sign in, you may request help by email; deletion will not take place before account ownership is verified.

Once account deletion is complete, login sessions on all devices and personal notification information are deleted, along with the posts, local snaps, photos, comments and reactions you created. Posts and local snaps are immediately made non-public. Photo files are removed progressively by deletion jobs, with failed jobs retried. The account and deleted content cannot be restored.

Local snaps and comments created by other users are their content and are not deleted with your account. Browser caches, copies saved by third parties and externally shared content may not be withdrawn immediately. Retention boundaries for deletion-status identifiers, evidence of acceptance of the terms and operational audit records follow the Privacy Policy.

Deleting your GIOOT account does not delete your Kakao, Google or Apple account itself. If the result of revoking the connection permissions cannot be confirmed, you can also check the connected-app settings of that social service.
